Today, while I was at my local CVS I decided to scour the health and wellness shelves to check out their vitamins and minerals supply. Now I have to admit that I am a label reader but what’s more important to me than the number of calories and total carbohydrates, is the amount of sugar (yay for the FDA on passing new nutrition labels with added sugar on it) and the ingredients list. And what I found is that these multi- vitamins are absolute crap.
I have two big problems with these cheap vitamins. First, the sources of vitamins that these dailies use are mostly synthetic, meaning they are created in a lab. And because they are created in a lab our bodies can't recognize them and don't know how to process them. So even though you think you are getting your daily dose of Vitamin A, C, E, K, etc., it’s more than likely that this is not happening. Second, the amount of other ingredients that are added in order to make it edible or pill form is insane. In three of the multi-vitamins I looked at, one of them being a children’s multi-vitamin, the first four ingredients are glucose syrup, sucrose, gelatin, and water. The last thing we need and our children need is added sugar into our diet.
This is why we choose to keep Moringa as close to its natural form as possible. The more we add the less beneficial it becomes. Our farmers are trained in proper drying and handling techniques so that the Moringa leaves maintain as much of their nutrients as possible. We want you to experience the best multi-vitamin that nature has to offer.
